Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at mauipetpals@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

it depends, its recommended to get your Guinea pig a buddy they are very social pets and they can easily get depressed and lonely. but some Guinea pigs dont do well with other cage mates.

We recommend (41,3 x 27,6 x 13,8 inches or 8.6 square ft) for 1-2 Guinea pigs

 (68,9 x 27,6 x 13,8 inches or 14.4 square ft)

for 3-4 Guinea pigs

and (82.7 x 27,6 x 13,8 inches or 17 square ft). 4-5 Guinea pigs.

We would recommend a c&c cage they good quality are customizable and cheap! (we found ours on amazon), also some people use hutches which are okay enclosures but I would only recommend it for 1-2 Guinea pigs because they can be small. Some enclosures we don’t recommend ever using are glass containers (fish tank), plastic storage containers, or dog crates.

Their diet should consist of Guinea pig pellet, Timothy Hay, Fruits, and Veggies.

Some safe fruit and vegetables for guinea pigs are bananas, blueberries, apples, carrots, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers, bell peppers, and watermelon

(make sure to remove all seeds in pits and feed fruits in moderation)

If you’re interested in our Guinea Pig litters then feel free to get on the waiting list! After the guinea pigs are born it will be a 3-4 week wait for them to be able to get separated from mom.
